Henderson Memorial Baptist Church’s (HMBC’s) mission is to love God and love our neighbors – near and far, by being the hands and feet of Jesus’ ministry for the world today. If you would like to help with any of our missions, please contact us to find out how you can contribute.

  • THE WARMING CENTER – Open to the public Tuesdays in January-February to help people stay warm, enjoy a hot lunch and good company. Games, crafts, stories and more. Free (donations are accepted for the Franklin County Ecumenical Heating Fund).
  • THERESA’S TOTES – Feeding families with tote bags full of groceries bi-weekly in partnership with Dryden United Baptist Church and the elementary schools in Wilton. Food donations needed. Contact us.
  • LA ROMANA – Mission Trip to La Romana, Dominican Republic, every winter for 1-2 weeks, to help build a hospital or to serve on medical team providing basic care to Haitian refugees living in bateys. Early registration required. Contact us.
  • OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD – HMBC collects shoeboxes full of school supplies, toys and hygiene items for girls or boys by age. HMBC will deliver all boxes to a local shipping site for delivery to children all over the world. Restrictions apply. To participate, Contact us for details by Nov. 1.
  • HMBC actively supports all FAEM Ministries – the Franklin County Ecumenical Heating Fund, the Housing Assistance Fund, and the Warming Center – as well as the Western Maine Homeless Outreach Shelter, and the Care & Share Food Closet.
